Hello, and welcome to my art world!
I’m glad you’re here! I’ve spent countless hours, weeks, months, shoot, even years creating the work you see on this website and it’s my joy to share it with you. I freaking love making art, and I believe that in viewing art we open windows and doors into the hidden places of the world hoping to see something that will move us…one way or another.
As an artist that is my goal; give form and color to the intangible things going on around us, while challenging the viewer to wrestle with the work one way or another. Art should require us to stand and grapple, even if for only a moment, with what we believe to be true and why we believe it. Art should be beautiful, and it should step courageously into the ugliness without succumbing to nihilism. So thank you, thank you for wading in and grappling with the work presented here because that is the goal, create truth and beauty worth staring at.
How'd I get here...
…By walking a path that had a great many twists and turns. By trying my hand at lots of many things (as my kids would say), and by unashamedly letting myself fail…a lot. I got to this place by teaching others, by helping young artists find their voice, and giving them space to share it. I got here by traveling the world, and by losing everything only to discover I had the strength and grit to survive and try again. It’s been a wild and crazy ride, but for all of it, I’m grateful, and I’m glad to share the art which was born out of this turbulent journey.
